Dan Glickman
Daniel R. Glickman, a member of the Advisory Board for Homeland Security Ventures and an Advisor to the Magnet Group LLC, is presently "Director of the Institute of Politics at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and serves as a partner in the public law and policy practice group of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, LLP in Washington D.C."[1] On the Board of Governors for the Partnership for Public Service.
"Before he joined Harvard and the law firm, Glickman served as the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture in the William Jefferson Clinton Administration from March 1995 - January 2001. Under his leadership, USDA modernized food safety regulations; focused extensively on improving our nation's nutrition; forged international trade agreements to expand US markets; and improved the agency's commitment to fairness and equality in civil rights, both in the treatment of its employees and in the execution of its programs."[2]
"Prior to his appointment as Secretary of Agriculture, Glickman served for 18 years in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Kansas's 4th Congressional District. During that time, he served as a member of the House AG Committee, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the House Judiciary Committee. Glickman also provided leadership on key aviation policy issues throughout his tenure in the Congress."[3]
"Before his election to Congress, Glickman served as president of the Wichita Kansas School Board; was a partner in the law firm of Sargent, Klenda and Glickman; and worked as a trial attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
