Biography
"Dan Rees is the Program Director for the Better Work program, a joint partnership between the International Labour Organization (ILO) and International Finance Corporation (IFC). The program brings together government, employers, workers, and international buyers to improve labor standards compliance and competitiveness in global supply chains. Better Work currently employs more than 150 staff members. Previously, Rees worked for ILO’s Ethical Trading Initiative and spearheaded its growth to its position as a field leader with a respected international reputation in ethical trade. He is considered to be a leading expert on this aspect of corporate responsibility and has led numerous multistakeholder projects around the world that have resulted in improved conditions for the workers who make the products sold by supermarkets and global brands."[1]
