"The Big Green Week Festival was founded by Paul Rainger and Darren Hall. It is run by an independent non-profit Community Interest Company, as a project of the Bristol Green Capital Partnership." [1]

An interview conducted in 2015 noted: "He voted Liberal Democrat in 2010 and only joined the Greens a year ago, after stepping down from a council job in which he led the project that won Bristol the European Green Capital Award." [2]

"Darren entered politics in 2014. He is a Board Member of the Bristol Community Land Trust and a founding Trustee of the Making Waves Foundation...Although not strictly political, the speech that has inspired me the most is Carl Sagan's "pale blue dot". It sums up my thoughts about how short sighted humans are as a species, and that we need to treat the plant as "our home" rather than some temporary abode that we can just use and abuse. - See more at: https://www.greenparty.org.uk/news/2015/05/06/featured-candidate-darren-hall/#sthash.AvzrQzyd.dpuf" [3]
