Background on Plant

The two existing coal-fired units of Datang Jingtai power station, totaling 1,320 MW, were brought online in 2009. The plant is owned by China Datang.[1]

Description of Expansion

The designed capacity for this power plant is 2*660MW+4*1000MW. There will be 3 phases to carry out all the capacity.[2][3] In 2014, the second phase with 2000MW was reported to have completed the preliminary feasibility study.[4][5] But no further news since then. The expansion project seems abandoned.
