Datang Luoyang power station (大唐洛阳热电公司) is a 970-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Henan Province, China.

The plant is different from the Datang Luoyang Shouyangshan power station.

Background on Plant

Datang Luoyang power station is owned by China Datang and Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group. The first seven units totaling 185MW of capacity were built between 1958 and 1965, and all retired in 2000. Units 8-9 are 165MW each and commissioned in 1999. Unit 10 is 75MW and commissioned in 2001.

Units 11-12 are 300MW each and commissioned in 2005.

In 2019, Unit 10 was retired and units 8-9 were put on standby – shut down during the non-heating season, and run in winter to supply heat to residential areas.
