Datang Xutang power station (大唐徐塘发电公司一期) is a 1,200-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Jiangsu Province, China. An additional 2,000 MW is planned at the same location.

Background on Plant

The four existing coal-fired units of Datang Xutang power station, totaling 1,200 MW, were brought online between 2001 and 2004. The plant is owned by China Datang.[1][2]

Description of Expansion

Datang is currently planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 2,000 MW.[3]

However, with no developments since May 2015, the project appears to be cancelled.
