Datang Xutang power station (大唐徐塘发电公司一期) is a 1,200-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Jiangsu Province, China. An additional 2,000 MW is planned at the same location.

Background on Plant

The four existing coal-fired units of Datang Xutang power station, totaling 1,200 MW, were brought online between 2001 and 2004. The plant is owned by China Datang.

Description of Expansion

Datang is currently planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 2,000 MW.

However, with no developments since May 2015, the project appears to be cancelled.
