Background on Project
China Datang is planning to build a cogeneration coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 700 MW in Shaanxi Province. The environmental impact assessment was approved in March 2014.[1]
The power station is under construction and planned for operation in 2017.[2]
Unit 1 was commissioned in December 2017.[3]
As of May 2018 Unit 2 has been completed but is waiting for a permit to be commissioned.[4] Unit 2 was commissioned in July 2018.[5]
