David Hulse
David Hulse "is the Conservation and Sustainable Development Program Officer responsible for coordinating grantmaking in Asia and the Pacific" for the MacArthur Foundation. "Before joining the Foundation in 2001, David worked with WWF International as the South Pacific Regional Representative, managing community-based marine and forest conservation projects in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Fiji and the Cook Islands.
"Prior to that, he set up and managed the WWF Program Office in Hanoi, initiating new conservation activities there at a time when few other organizations were working in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. He has also worked with the Population and Community Development Association in Thailand and as a lecturer in economics for graduate students at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in China. David has degrees in Earth Science and Environmental Studies from Iowa State University and Public Policy from Harvard University." [1]
