Debra Wasserman
Debra Wasserman became Executive Director of the Israel Policy Forum (IPF) in February of 2000.
"Prior to becoming Executive Director, she was the Managing Director of IPF since 1995. Previously, Debra has served as the Northeast Director of the National Jewish Democratic Council. Prior to that Debra served as the Special Projects Director and Executive Committee Liaison in the national office of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).
"As of June 2002, Debbie serves as a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Debra is a member of the Israeli American Forum, an initiative for dialogue and interchange between Israeli and American Jews. The Forum includes leading political figures, business people, philanthropists, and scholars from Israel and the United States.
"Debra is a member of the steering committee for The Dialogue Project, a dialogue between women leaders of the American Jewish and Palestinian American Communities. Debra is a member of the board of Project Kesher, a grassroots organization putting Jewish values to work in the Independent States of the former Soviet Union: renewing Jewish life, empowering women financially, and securing women's health and safety. Debra is also an active member of the White House Project, a not for profit women's leadership group that identifies the obstacles to women's leadership and advances women through the American political pipeline.
"Debra has a B.A. in Political Science from University of Michigan, and a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). In 1990 Debra spent a year abroad in London, England in a work-study program sponsored by Boston University. Debra resides in New York City."[1]
