"Declan is founder and CEO of The Ecology Foundation which is a think tank, consultancy and a venture group for low carbon sustainable business models. The Ecology Foundation advises four governments (including the UK) and has been an advisor to Carbon Trust Enterprises, influencing strategic positions and regulatory policy on numerous occasions. The Ecology Foundation has partnered with several global brands, where they help define the business models for a low carbon and resource sustainable future.

Declan has made several public addresses on climate change and in particular the business transformation towards a low carbon economy. Most recently he delivered the 2010 Royal Dublin Society lecture on Energy (with particular emphasis on security of supply) and has been a regular commentator on Radio and documentaries.
"Declan is a member of the UK DTI global entrepreneur programme, a member of the Irish Government green economy task force and a council member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce.
"Prior to creating his own operational portfolio, he was investment manager for a high net worth individual, managing a global private equity portfolio, and formerly a director of Misys plc (banking systems division).
"Declan is also founder and CEO of Forest Healthcare – a world class treatment centre for addiction, depression and motivation. Based in Ireland, Forest has 6 years experience with 80% success rates and is a profitable business. This business is expanding and has proven a new model for successful treatment. He also founded an award winning and successful theatre in Norway.
