Delbert Lee Lobb was appointed as as Senior Vice President of Mongolian Operations for Peabody Energy. Peabody stated in a media release that Lobb would report to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Eric Ford.[1]

Background

In a media release Peabody stated that "Lobb has more than 29 years of mining engineering and operations experience worldwide. He previously served as Group Executive of the company’s Powder River Basin Operations and Operations Manager of Peabody’s Twentymile operation in Colorado. He most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Westmoreland Coal Company. He has extensive international operations experience, having been Operations Manager for Minera Argentina Gold’s Veladero Project in San Juan, Argentina, and General Manager of Operations in Colombia for Drummond Ltd. He also held a number of engineering management positions in Alabama, Kentucky, North Dakota and Illinois. He has a civil engineering degree from the University of Kentucky at Lexington and an MBA from Vanderbilt University in Nashville" Tennessee.[1]
