The Design And Innovation Group exists 'to generate an exchange of knowledge and understanding between parliament and industry about the role of design and innovation in improving competitiveness and quality of life'

The group's funds come from subscriptions (none of which is individually £500 or more). Networking for Industry provides administrative services to the group, although the group's administrator is paid directly by the group. The Design Council also provides administrative support and funds occasional receptions and publications.
