Diandong power station (华能云南滇东能源公司滇东电厂) is a 2,400-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Yunnan Province, China.

Background on Plant

Diandong power station is a four-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 3,600 MW in Yunnan Province. The first four units, totaling 2,400 MW, were completed between 2006 and 2008. An additional two units, Units 5 & 6, totaling 1,200 MW, have been reported but do not appear to have been built. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.
