Rice was President and Chief Executive Officer of the RAND Corporation; President and Chief Operating Officer of Teledyne, Inc.. He is a Director of Wells Fargo & Company, Vulcan Materials Company, Scios Inc., the Unocal Corporation, and Pilkington Aerospace.
