El Al is the airline which is 75% owned by the Israel government.
In 2002 the government announced its intention to privatise the airline.[1]
In December 2004, O'Dwyer's PR Daily reported that Ruder Finn had been apopinted to promote El Al's "status as Israel's national carrier and handle communications regarding the privatization of the airline." [2]
