Enns Power Station was a proposed 800-megwatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Austria.

Background
The proposed 800 MW project was sponsored by Austrian energy company Energie AG for Enns, a town on the Danube River.[1]
In April 2008 Power in Europe, an energy trade newsletter, reported that the project would involve coal being brought to the station by barge. The newsletter notes that Enns "also has a tie to the high pressure east-west WAG gasline."[2]
In its 2006/2007 annual report Energie AG states that "During the 2006/2007 business year, Energie AG Oberösterreich Kraftwerk Ennshafen GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of the Energie AG Group, bought land at the Upper-Austrian Danube harbor of Enns-Ennsdorf. The purchased real-estate serves to secure the site of possible future generation capacities."[3]
As of September 2014 the project appears to abandoned since there have been no further developments since 2008, and the project is not mentioned on the company's website.
