Background

The power station has been proposed by Era Infra Engineering Limited. The Bihar State Investment Promotion Board lists the project as having been granted investment approval in February 2011. The power station has been proposed to be built at Pirpainti, Bhagalpur district, Bihar, India.[1]

However, as of 2014 the project has not received environmental permits, and may have been shelved.
