Eric D.K. Melby
Eric D.K. Melby, a senior fellow at the Forum for International Policy, has "extensive experience in international economics and trade issues under a number of Administrations. He has served as Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs. As Senior Director for International Economic Affairs at the National Security Council, Mr. Melby was responsible for bilateral and multilateral trade and economic issues, including the NAFTA, the Uruguay Round of GATT, bilateral economic issues and export controls. Prior to serving at the White House and State Department, Mr. Melby was the Special Assistant to the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency in Paris, where he worked on numerous energy issues. He has also served with the Agency for International Development and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines. Mr. Melby received his Master's and Doctorate degrees" from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University." [1]
