The FAR Fund "was established in 2001 by an anonymous donor. The Fund focuses its resources in three domains in New York City: improving and expanding services and systems for people on the autistic spectrum, preventing violence against youth, and preventing homelessness. The Fund also seeks to support the application of psychoanalytic principles to the solution of these problems, and will give special consideration to projects in the three domains mentioned above that incorporate psychodynamic theory or techniques."
