Francine Kansteiner ("Franny") "of Middleburg, Virginia, has a life-long commitment to cultural heritage and environmental conservation. When she is not running her farm, she is either on a horse, minding her eclectic art gallery in town (“The Studio”), working for conservation easements in the countryside, or serving on several on the boards of several non-profit organizations. She has traveled the length and breadth of Africa (and elsewhere), understanding field-based nature conservation and how to best support it. Husband Walter Kansteiner, and children (Beverly and Chalker) all share her passion for a thriving resource of wilderness and wildlife." [1]
