Friends of Conservation was founded in 1982 and "is a conservation charity that works with local communities across the world to protect their surrounding wildlife and habitats. At present we work with local partners in the Caribbean, India, Iran, Namibia, Peru, Tanzania, Uganda as well as supporting our own field station and programme in the Masai Mara, Kenya." [1] It was founded by Jorie Butler Kent and Geoffrey J.W. Kent.
