Future Generations "raises within communities the capacity to shape their own futures. Communities learn to maximize locally-available skills and resources and to sustain solutions that fit local cultures, economies, and ecologies.
"In partnership with government, local successes in such areas as maternal and child health, nature conservation, peacebuilding, income generation, and governance expand to have regional and national level impact.
"As an action-oriented non-government organization that partners with a parallel graduate school, the organization’s three-pronged operational strategy is to:" [1]
- Incubate effective demonstrations of community change through partnerships in target countries (Afghanistan, China, India, and Peru)
- Conduct applied research to develop and evaluate community-based approaches
- Build local capacity worldwide through a Master’s Degree in Applied Community Change and Conservation
