Background on Plant

In 2009 Reliable Thermal Power invited tenders from potential contractors for a 1,320 MW coal based power project at Garadiatola in Madhya Pradesh, saying the company had completed most of the project development activities.[1]

Since then there has been no application for an environmental permit, and the project appears to be abandoned.
