Garrick Utley

Garrick Utley, a member of the board of directors of the Council on Foreign Relations, is a "contributor to CNN from the network's New York bureau, and reports on and analyzes stories of national and international significance. Before joining CNN in February 1997, he was chief foreign correspondent for ABC News, based in London; with NBC News as chief foreign correspondent and anchor from its Brussels, Saigon, Berlin, Paris and London bureaus; and covered foreign affairs from more than seventy countries. He received the Edward R. Murrow Award for a series examining Soviet-American relations, and the George Foster Peabody Award for his contributions to a NBC News retrospective on Vietnam. He was the first NBC News correspondent to be based in South Vietnam for daily coverage of the conflict; anchored a number of NBC's news programs; and covered several U.S. presidential conventions and elections. He is based in New York, NY."[1]
