The General Santos power station is a proposed 300-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station by San Miguel Corp. for General Santos City, the Philippines. The station was also referred to as Davao Greenfield 6.

Background on Plant

In 2010, San Miguel Corporation said it planned to build a 300 MW coal-fired plant in General Santos City with coal coming from the company's Daguma Coal mine in nearby Lake Sebu, by 2012.

In 2011 it was reported that SMC was having difficulty locating a suitable site for the proposed plant, and was prioritizing construction of its Davao Power Plant instead.
