George W. Meek

"George W. Meek retired at age 60 to spend the rest of his life researching the basic nature of Man. With William O'Neil and other scientists, he pioneered the two-way spirit communication device ‘Spiricom’ to communicate with people who had ‘died’. In doing so they received help from “the other side” from George Jeffries (“Doc”) Mueller, a NASA engineer who had died in 1967 and with whom the first ever two-way voice contact was recorded on April 16, 1980...

"In this booklet, which is partly based on his book After We Die, What Then? (1980), Dr Meek describes spirit materializations, energy fields, higher planes of existence above the dense-physical, reincarnation and karma. He also introduces the notion of communication with “those who have left their physical bodies,” (p.17) which he described at length in a publication entitled “Spiricom” (1982) and in an article for Share International magazine: “A New Breakthrough – Electronic Communication With the ‘Dead’.” In an editorial note to that article Benjamin Creme states that when “Mr Meek refers to ‘astral vocal cords’, the voice is more likely to be produced by the manipulation of vibration or sound waves.” (SI No.7, July 1982, p.9)

"This development was first predicted by the Master DK through Alice A. Bailey: “Through the use of the radio by those who have passed over, will communication be eventually set up, and reduced to a true science.” (Esoteric Psychology, Vol.1 (1936), p.183) And “...the first demonstration of existence after death, in such a way that it can be registered upon the physical plane, will come via the radio, because sound always precedes vision.” (Esoteric Healing (1944), p.378) In Share International No.10, December 1990, Benjamin Creme confirms that what has become known as the Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) is genuine and inspired by Hierarchy.

"Dr Meek was awarded the first honorary Doctor of Humanities degree by the International College of Spiritual and Psychic Sciences. The International Association for New Science granted him its 1991 award for his contribution to new sciences.
