"Starting her media career with a journalism cadetship with The West Australian, Geraldine has since moved on to being one of Australia's most respected journalists. Geraldine is currently working for ABC TV's Compass program and, until recently, ABC Radio on National's Life Matters program. This year Geraldine is pioneering the new Saturday Breakfast program for Radio National, covering Australian and world events. Her interests cover the full gamut of social issues including education, health, family relationships, and work.
"Geraldine has received two Penguin Awards, a United Nations Media Peace Prize and a Churchill Fellowship for social and cultural reporting. In 2003, she was recognised with an Officer in the Order of Australia for services to the community and media. Among her community involvements, Geraldine is a board member of the St. James Ethics Centre." [1]
