"Gregory Michaelidis is responsible for a wide variety of initiatives at the Center for Global Development aimed at engaging the public and the development policy community, including policymakers and NGOs, in the Center's research and other programs. Before joining the Center he served as senior policy associate with The Hatcher Group, a public affairs and public policy firm working to connect non-profits and foundations to policymakers and the media. Previously, he served as a senior researcher in the foreign policy studies program at the Brookings Institution, and was an editorial associate on A Force More Powerful: A Century of Nonviolent Conflict (St. Martin’s, 2000). He has held research and teaching fellowships, respectively, at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and the Euro-Balkan Institute in Skopje, Macedonia. He holds a Ph.D. in history from the University of Maryland, College Park." [1]
