Background on Plant

The two existing coal-fired units of Jinwan power station, totaling 1,200 MW, were brought online in 2007. The are also considered the second phase of Zhuhai GZP power station. The plant is owned by Guangdong Yudean Group.[1][2]

Description of Expansion

Guangdong Yudean, along with Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings, are currently planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 2,000 MW.[1]
