Guodian Kaili power station (国电贵州凯里发电厂) is a retired 500-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Guizhou Province, China.

Background on Plant

Guizhou Kaili power station was founded in 1957. In 1995, the older units with capacity of 9.18MW were retired and the power station started to build two 125MW units. The two units were commissioned in 1997. In 1999, two more units with 125MW each were completed. The total capacity reached 500MW.

The four units were retired in 2009. A relocated expansion project was proposed in Fuquan City. In 2012 and 2013, two 600MW units were completed in a new location, and called Guodian Duyun power station. It is owned by National Energy Investment Group.
