Guohua Xuzhou power station (神华国华徐州发电厂) is a 2,000-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Jiangsu Province, China.

Location
The photo below shows the power complex, including the Units 9 and 10, which were commissioned in 2011. Prior to building those units, four cooling towers and six generating units were demolished, as shown by comparing the "time machine" photos of the location in Google Earth between March 2007 and October 2010. The plant is located near Maocun, in Tongshan County, Xuzhou Prefecture, Jiangsu Province.
Background on Plant
Guohua Xuzhou power station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 2,000 MW in Jiangsu Province. The first eight units, totaling 1,340 MW, have been retired. Units 9 & 10, totaling 2,000 MW, were completed in November and December 2011. The plant was originally owned by Shenhua Group.[1]
Ownership
On August 28, 2017, China's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) announced that China Guodian Corporation and Shenhua Group will be jointly restructured. Shenhua Group will become China National Energy Investment Group and will absorb China Guodian Corporation. It will be the largest power company in the world by installed capacity, as well as the world's largest coal producer.[2][3] The merger was completed on November 28, 2017.[4]
