The Heze Zhaolou power station (兖州煤业菏泽能化赵楼低热值煤电厂一期), also known as Yanzhou Zhaolou Waste Coal power station, is a 300-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power station in Shandong province, China.

An additional 300 MW has been proposed.

Background on Plant

Yanzhou Coal Mining has proposed a power station of two units of 300 MW each in Heze city. The project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2010.

The first unit went into operation in 2014. The second phase will involve construction of the additional 300 MW unit.

2016: Nationwide Restrictions Imposed on Development of Coal-Fired Power Capacity

Due to new restrictions announced during 2016 by the National Energy Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission, further capacity expansions at this location appear to be on hold or cancelled.
