The Homelessness and Housing Need group exists to "raise the parliamentary profile of homelessness and housing need by providing Members with access to co-ordinated and specialist information and help formulate practical proposals towards a solution to the problem. "

Grant of £19,000 per annum is given by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation to CHAS (Catholic Housing Aid Society) to enable CHAS to provide administrative services to the group.
