Hongqinghe Coal Mine (内蒙古伊泰广联煤化有限责任公司红庆河煤矿) is a permitted mine with an annual production capacity of 15 million tonnes(Mt) per year. It is sponsored and managed by the Inner Mongolia Yitai Guanglian Coal Chemical Co.,which was co-founded by Inner Mongolia Yitai Group, Inner Mongolia Guanglian Minzu Economic Development Co. and Inner Mongolia Coal Field Geological Bureau. Registered capital is 1.98 billion RMB.

Coal Mine Background

In August 2006, Inner Mongolia Yitai Guanglian Coal Chemical Co. acquired the exploration authority with mine size of 140.758 square kilometers in Dongsheng Coalfield. In 2010, with the NDRC approval, the mine size was expanded to 181.44 square kilometers.

In February 2013, Hongqinghe Coal Mine received construction permission from the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC), boasting designed production capacity of 15Mt/year.

Preparation work begun since April 2011, and construction started in April 2013. In January 2017, the project has entered into the phase of experimental operation. Till then, the construction duration lasted 46 months.

In 2018, the project started its completion check and acceptance procedure before being officially put into commercial operation.
