Background on Project
Huadian Tianjin Nangang Cogen is a proposed 3 x 170 MW coal plant in Binhai, Tianjin Prefecture, sponsored by China Huadian. The plant was permitted for construction in July 2016. A new EIA for the project was approved in January 2018.[1][2]
Construction began in November 2018.[3]
In November 2019 the capacity of the plant was changed to 3 x 350 MW.[4]
