Huadian Tianjin Nangang Cogen power station (华电天津南港热电) is a proposed 1,050-megawatt (MW) waste coal-fired power plant in Yunnan Province, China.

Background on Project

Huadian Tianjin Nangang Cogen is a proposed 3 x 170 MW coal plant in Binhai, Tianjin Prefecture, sponsored by China Huadian. The plant was permitted for construction in July 2016. A new EIA for the project was approved in January 2018.

Construction began in November 2018.

In November 2019 the capacity of the plant was changed to 3 x 350 MW.
