Huaibei Pingshan power station (申能申皖平山电厂) is a 1,320-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Anhui Province, China.

An additional 1350 MW is proposed.

Background on Project

Shenergy is building a two-unit, ¥50 billion (US$800 million) coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 1,320 MW in Anhui Province. The project was approved by the NDRC and began construction in October 2013. The plant is scheduled to be completed in 2015.

Unit 1 was commissioned in December 2015, and unit 2 in March 2016.

Proposed expansion

A proposed unit 3 of 1350 MW total is proposed. It was permitted in January 2017. Construction began in 2018, with commissioning planned for 2020.
