Huainan Tianji power station (淮沪煤电公司田集电厂) is a 2,580-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Anhui Province, China.

Background on Plant
The two existing coal-fired units of Huainan Tianji power station, totaling 1,260 MW, were brought online in 2007. The two units cost ¥5 billion ($800 million).[2][3][4]
Description of Expansion
The plant's owner recently built two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total capacity of 1,320 MW. The first unit was completed in 2013, and the second was completed in 2014.[5][6][7][8]
Ownership
In July 2015, China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) and State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) merged to become State Power Investment Corporation (国家电力投资集团), one of the five largest state-owned electricity producers in the People's Republic of China.[9]
