Background on Plant

The four existing coal-fired units of Huaneng Fuzhou power station, totaling 1,400 MW, were brought online between 1988 and 1999. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.[1]

Description of Expansion

China Huaneng recently built two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total capacity of 1,320 MW. The new units were completed in 2010.[2][3][4]
