Huaneng Huainan power station (华能淮南第一发电厂) was reported by WRI to be a proposed 4,800-megawatt (MW) double coal-fired power plant in Anhui Province, China. However, there is no evidence of this plant on the Huaneng Power International website.

Background on Project
According to the WRI "Global Coal Risk Assessment" (2012), China Huaneng is planning to build two four-unit coal-fired power plants — Huaneng Huainan-1 and Huaneng Huainan-2 — with a total planned capacity of 4,800 MW, in Anhui Province. WRI's source for the project was Platts. As of August 2014, this project appears to be abandoned, since it is not mentioned on the Huaneng Power International website.[1][2][3]
