Background on Plant
Huaneng Shang'an power station is a six-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 2,540 MW in Hebei Province built between 1990 and 2008. The plant is owned by China Huaneng. [1]Units 5 and 6 are the first 600 MW supercritical units in China to use air cooling rather than water cooling.[2] [3]
