Background on Plant

The six existing coal-fired units of Yangluo power station, totaling 2,400 MW, were brought online between 1992 and 2006. The plant is owned by China Huaneng.

Description of Expansion

Huaneng was planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total capacity of 2,000 MW. However, there have been no news of this plant since 2007, and it appears to have been cancelled.
