Iran Freedom Foundation
The Iran Freedom Foundation (IFF) is a Washington D.C. based non-profit group that describes its mission as being to "educate the public about the Islamic Republic of Iran and to promote freedom in the region".[1]
A much older organization with the same name was formed in 1979 in the state of Maryland, by the late Ali Akbar Tabatabai. It is not known whether it has any connection to the DC-based IFF. See Iran Freedom Foundation (Maryland). [2]
History
The IFF domain registration was lodged on September 19 by Behrouz Bayat [3]. On its website IFF states that it "was incorporated on February 3, 2005 in Delaware and began activities on February 15".[4]
