Irving Canaport power station

Irving Canaport power station is a proposed 600-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant in the province of New Brunswick, Canada.

As of November 2019, the project has not progressed in more than four years and appears to be cancelled.

Background

In 2004, Irving Oil originally planned the power station to be located near Irving Oil's LNG terminal at the entrance to St. John Harbor, but since no progress has been made amid other Irving Oil business dealings, this project appears to be cancelled.
