Jack Vanderryn
Jack Vanderryn, "who was appointed to the social chamber, was Program Officer for Environment of The Moriah Fund, a family foundation in Washington, DC from 1991 to 2003, when he became Senior Fellow for Environment and Development at the foundation. He continues to manage Moriah's development portfolio that addresses both reform of the multilateral international financial institutions as well as international trade and globalization issues. In this capacity Jack works closely with FSC-US and many of CIEL's partner organizations.
"For the period 1997-2000, Jack served as President of the Consultative Group on Biodiversity (CGBD), an organization of more than 45 foundations working in concert to conserve biodiversity. He was Chairman of the Board of the Renewable Energy and Efficiency Training Institute, in Washington, DC and presently serves on the boards of the Endangered Species Coalition and the Institute for Conservation Leadership; he previously served on the board of the Center for the Support of Native Lands.
"Vanderryn's experience includes thirty-three years with the US Government, mostly in senior management positions with the US Department of Energy and its predecessor agencies, and ten years with the US Agency for International Development, in charge of worldwide energy and environmental assistance programs to developing countries. It was while he was at USAID that he helped establish the Consultative Group on Biodiversity." [1]
