Jackie Huggins
Ms Jackie Huggins AM "a woman of the Bidjara/Birri-Gubba Juru peoples, is the Deputy Director of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit at the University of Queensland. Historian and published author, she was a member of the Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation for six years. She is a director of the Telstra Foundation; director of the Australian Centre for Indigenous History, Australian National University; member of the Indigenous Advisory Board of the Queensland Centre of Domestic and Family Violence Research, Central Queensland University; chair of the national steering committee for the Dare To Lead program for school principals; member of the Indigenous Advisory Board for the State Library of Queensland; and AFL Foundation Board member."
