James Toop

Biographical Information

"James has been with Teaching Leaders since its launch in 2008. He joined the founding team and played a critical role in establishing and building the Fellows programme through the pilot phase. In September 2011, he became Chief Executive, transitioning from the Chief Operating Officer role, and has since led Teaching Leaders' national expansion.

"He started his career as a French teacher in the inaugural Teach First cohort, and joined Teaching Leaders following three years as a management consultant at Monitor Group. He is currently Chair of Governors at ARK Conway Primary Academy. James graduated from Jesus College, Oxford with a BA in Modern Languages"
