Jan Selby
Jan Selby has worked at the University of Sussex since 2005. "He holds a PhD in Sociology from Lancaster University, and has previously worked in the Department of Politics and International Relations at Lancaster, and the Department of International Politics, University of Aberystwyth. He was Head of the Department of International Relations from 2007-9. Jan's research centres on two areas: peace processes, and environmental conflicts. He is currently undertaking research on the rise of peace proceses and the transformation of contemporary peacemkaing, with especial reference to the Israeli-Palestinian, Israeli-Egyptian, Northern Ireland, India-Pakistan, and Sudanese peace processes. He is also continuing and extending previous research on environmental conflict, currently working on a project on Israeli-Palestinian water cooperation, as well as an EU-funded project on climate change, hydro-conflicts and human security in the Mediterranean, Middle East and North Africa. Beyond these main areas of research, Jan has also written more broadly on contemporary global governance, and on Marxian and post-structuralist social and international theory." [1]
