Coal
AS of 2015 JICA supports the funding of ultra-supercritical and supercritical coal plants, nationally and internationally. State-owned NTPC of India, an energy supplier, received 25.8 billion yen in loans from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and JICA in 2015. JICA disbursed 162.2 billion yen in official development assistance (ODA) loans for India in 2014-15, the highest among countries where JICA extends such assistance.[2]
