The company is proposing to construct the 1320 megawatt (MW) coal-fired Jawaharpur Thermal Project in Etah district in Uttar Pradesh. The company also states that "it has been decided to permit the selected developer to establish an Additional Unit of 660 MW at the selected plant location. To expedite the process, the Government of Uttar Pradesh shall facilitate the Land Acquisition and Water allocation for such Additional Unit."[1]
